The AEMC is currently developing national frameworks for distribution and transmission reliability, following a request from the Standing Council on Energy and Resources.

The Commission intends to publish a paper in July 2013 for public consultation which will set out a common set of arrangements that will apply to both national frameworks.

After considering submissions on this paper, the Commission will publish separate final reports on the national framework for distribution reliability and the national framework for transmission reliability.

It is anticipated that:

• the final report for the distribution workstream of the review will be published in late September 2013; and
• the final report for the transmission workstream will be published in early November 2013.
