On 26 May 2011, the AEMC initiated a review under section 45 of the National Electricity Law (NEL) into the arrangements for determining and paying compensation following an administered price, market price cap or market floor price under clauses 3.14.6 and 3.15.10 of the National Electricity Rules (Rules).

The AEMC published an Issues Paper which commenced the public consultation process for this review. The purpose of this Paper is to seek stakeholder comments on the scope of the review and the issues that will be addressed.

The AEMC invites submissions on the matters set out in the Issues Paper no later than 7 July 2011.
