Registration is now open for the AEMC’s stakeholder workshop on implementing a shared market protocol, which will define a format of communication that can be used between parties accessing the services available from smart meters.

The workshop will be held in Sydney from 11am to 4pm on Wednesday 15 April, and will provide stakeholders with a discussion on the initial proposals regarding implementation and governance issues:

  • How the shared market protocol could be implemented in the National Electricity Rules, including obligations on parties.
  • Requirements around the establishment and maintenance of the shared market protocol.

The Australian Energy Market Operator will also provide a summary of its first technical advice on a proposed shared market protocol, likely IT requirements, costs and timeframes.

To register for this workshop, please contact Jenessa Rabone at jenessa.rabone@aemc.gov.au or on (02) 8296 7800 by Wednesday 8 April 2015.
