In accordance with the MCE Request for Advice, on 30 July 2010, the AEMC has published its First Draft Report for the ACT Retail Review.

The AEMC's draft finding is that competition in the ACT electricity retail market is not effective.

Stakeholders are invited to provide submissions in response to the AEMC's draft findings by 5 pm on Friday, 27 August 2010. A public forum on the draft findings will be held at the Novotel Hotel in Canberra on Friday, 13 August 2010. Stakeholders wishing to attend the public forum are requested to register via the AEMC website by 5 pm on Wednesday, 4 August 2010.
