The Australian Energy Market Commission will hold a public workshop in Melbourne CBD on 18 October 2019 to discuss the 2019 Coordination of generation and transmission investment (COGATI) implementation - access and charging review.

On 14 October 2019, the Commission will release:

  • a paper that sets out the specification of the proposed access model, which would introduce dynamic regional pricing and financial transmission rights
  • a discussion paper on renewable energy zones.

The public workshop will provide stakeholders with an overview of the proposed reform and how it would work in practice. Stakeholders will also have the opportunity to provide initial feedback on the proposed reforms.

Interested stakeholders can register for the forum here before 15 October 2019.

The forum will also be webcast. To register for the webcast, please register here.

Further details and an agenda will be available shortly.
