The Australian Energy Market Commission today published Version 70 of the National Electricity Rules, which incorporates two new rules made in the last week.
The National Electricity Amendment (Governance arrangements and implementation of the reliability standard and settings) Rule 2015 changes announced last week makes changes to strengthen the governance arrangements which underpin the secure and reliable supply of electricity to Australian consumers.
The National Electricity Amendment (Improving demand side participation information provided to AEMO by registered participants) Rule 2015 made today, requires registered electricity market participants to provide information on demand side participation to AEMO. This information will be considered by AEMO when developing and using its load forecasts under the Rules.
The AEMC publishes a new version of the National Electricity Rules when changes to the rules commence operation.
