On 25 July 2019, the Australian Energy Market Commission published version 36 of the National Electricity Rules as in force in the Northern Territory (NT NER). Version 36 includes Rules that commenced on 1 July 2019. Version 36 of the NT NER is version 123 of the National Electricity Rules as amended by the National Electricity (Northern Territory) (National Uniform Legislation) (Modification) Regulations 2016.
