The National Electricity Rules govern the operation of the National Electricity Market. The Rules have the force of law, and are made under the National Electricity Law.

The NT NER is version 113 of the National Electricity rules as amended by:

• National Electricity (Northern Territory) (National Uniform Legislation) (Modification) Regulations 2016.

Version 209 of the National Electricity Rules incorporates:

• National Electricity Amendment (Improving security frameworks for the energy transition) Rule 2024 No. 9

The NT NER is version 112 of the National Electricity rules as amended by:

• National Electricity (Northern Territory) (National Uniform Legislation) (Modification) Regulations 2016.

Version 208 of the National Electricity Rules incorporates:

• National Electricity Amendment (Sharing concessional finance benefits with consumers) Rule 2024 No. 7; and

• National Electricity Amendment (Accommodating financeability in the regulatory framework) Rule 2024 No. 8

The NT NER is version 111 of the National Electricity rules as amended by:

• National Electricity (Northern Territory) (National Uniform Legislation) (Modification) Regulations 2016.

Version 207 of the National Electricity Rules incorporates:
