On 1 December 2011, the AEMC gave notice under section 95 of the NEL and section 303 of the NGL to commence consultation on the rule change requests received from Major Energy Users Inc (MEU).  The rule change requests relate to the optimisation of the Regulatory Asset Base and disincentivisation of the replacement of depreciated assets which are still in operation and useful.
