Using the method set out in the National Electricity Rules, the values for the Market Price Cap and Cumulative Price Threshold for the 2017-18 financial year are:

 2016-2017

2017-2018

Market Price Cap

$14,000/MWh

$14,200/MWh

Cumulative Price Threshold

$210,100 $212,800

The updated values, which apply from 1 July 2017, and underlying calculations are available in a schedule of reliability settings on the AEMC website.
