Overview

The Public Interest Advocacy Centre, Total Environment Centre and the Australia Institute’s Wholesale demand response mechanism (retail) rule change request was consolidated on 18 July 2019 with:

The Australian Energy Council’s Wholesale demand response register mechanism (retail) rule change request
The South Australian Government’s Mechanism for wholesale demand response (retail) rule change request.

The Commission has decided not to make a draft retail rule in relation to the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, Total Environment Centre and the Australia Institute’s rule change request seeking to introduce a mechanism for wholesale demand response in the national electricity market.
