On 26 March 2009, the Commission gave notice under sections 102 and 103 of the National Electricity Law (NEL) of the making of the National Electricity Amendment (Minor Changes) Rule 2009 No. 7 and related final Rule determination.

Background

On 19 February 2009, the AEMC initiated public consultation on its Rule proposal by publishing notice under sections 95 and 96 of the NEL.

Objections to the expedited process were due by 6 March 2009.

Submissions were due by 20 March 2009.

No objections or submissions were received on the Rule proposal.

The Commission agreed to the Rule proposal without any amendments. The final Rule corrects minor errors in the Rules and make non-material changes to the Rules by:

• correcting several formatting and numbering anomalies in the Rules; and
• removing participant derogations which have expired under the Rules.
