Background
On 4 June 2008, the Commission received a proposal from NEMMCO to amend the Rules. This Rule change proposal sought to rectify minor drafting errors in clause S5.2.5.3(c)(6) of the Rules.
On 26 June 2008, the Commission published a notice under sections 95 and 96 of the NEL commencing initial consultation on this Rule change proposal and advising of its intention to expedite the Rule change process on the ground that it was non-controversial, subject to written submissions.
The Commission considered this proposal to be non-controversial as it only involves the correction of perceived minor errors in the Rules. The Commission invited interested parties to provide submissions on the Rule change proposal by 24 July 2008. Any objections to the expedited Rule making process must have been received by 10 July 2008.
