On 30 January 2014, the Australian Energy Market Commission released for consultation a draft final rule and position paper for the connecting embedded generators rule change.

The draft final rule for consultation includes the changes from the draft rule that was published by the AEMC on 27 June 2013. In light of the proposed changes to be made and requests from stakeholders, the AEMC considers that further consultation would be prudent.

The AEMC invites feedback from stakeholders on any implementation issues or inadvertent outcomes of the rule drafting they consider may arise in implementing the draft final rule. Submissions are due by COB on 20 February 2014.
