The Reliability Panel (Panel) has published draft guidelines and an accompanying draft determination in relation to future reviews of the reliability standard and settings.

The draft guidelines set out the principles and assumptions to be applied by the Panel when it conducts future reviews of the reliability standard and settings.  The next review will commence in early 2017.

The draft guidelines:

  • establish the assessment framework to be applied by the Panel when undertaking each review;
  • identify an approach to assessment of each component of the reliability framework, including consideration of which components are to be reassessed in future reviews; and
  • outline a general approach to modelling to be applied by the Panel in each review.

The accompanying draft determination sets out relevant analysis undertaken in order to inform the contents of the draft guidelines.

Stakeholders are invited to make submissions in relation to the draft guidelines and draft determination by 3 November 2016.  Stakeholders are welcome to request a meeting to discuss specific issues in more detail, if they consider this would help in the process of consultation.
