The AEMC has today released a consultation paper on a rule change request from TasNetworks. The rule change request seeks to align the timing of Australian Energy Regulator revenue determinations for TasNetworks’ distribution and transmission networks from 1 July 2019.

The consultation paper has been prepared to facilitate public consultation and assist stakeholders in providing submissions on the rule change request.

The AEMC will assess the rule change request as a non-controversial rule under an expedited rule making process, subject to the receipt of any written objections from stakeholders by 12 March 2015.

Submissions on the rule change request are to be lodged by 26 March 2015.

The rule change request follows the creation of TasNetworks on 1 July 2014 through the merger of Aurora and Transend.
