On Thursday 21 December 2006 the Reliability Panel (Panel) published the final version of its 2006 Annual Electricity Market Performance Review.

On 24 August 2006 the Panel gave notice that it had commenced its annual review of the performance of the National Electricity Market for the 2005-06 year. The review focuses on the performance of the market in terms of reliability of the power system and the power system security and reliability standards. In conducting this review the Panel is following the established practice of annual reviews under clause 8.8.3 of the Rules. The notice describes the consultation process.

On 25 October 2006 the Panel published the draft of its 2006 Annual Electricity Market Performance Review (available below). The Panel also made a presentation on this draft report at the National Electricity Market Information Forum on Wednesday, 25 October 2006. Submissions on the draft review closed on Friday 16 November 2006. The Panel received one submission from Hydro Tasmania.
