WA: Macedon Sales Pipeline

The Macedon Sales Pipeline (MSP), also known as the Macedon Sales Gas Pipeline, is a transmission pipeline located near Onslow, Western Australia.

The MSP is owned by Santos WA PVG Pty Ltd and Woodside Energy (Australia) Pty Ltd, and operated by Woodside Energy (Australia) Pty Ltd. The MSP has been owned and operated historically by the predecessors of these companies - by Apache PVG Pty Ltd and Quadrant PVG Pty Ltd which is now Santos WA PVG Pty Ltd, and BHP Billiton Petroleum (Australia) Pty Ltd which is now Woodside Energy (Australia) Pty Ltd.

The MSP is 66.79 km in length, 508 mm in diameter, and has a maximum capacity of 500 TJ/day.

The MSP transports natural gas from the Macedon Gas Plant to the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.

The MSP is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the National Gas Access (WA) Law and Part 23 of the National Gas Rules (WA) (NGR (WA)).

The WA Economic Regulation Authority granted Category 1 and 2 exemptions under Part 23 of the NGR (WA) for the MSP that apply from 4 July 2022 to 4 July 2027.
