WA: Fortescue River Gas Pipeline

The Fortescue River Gas Pipeline is a transmission pipeline in north-west Western Australia. The pipeline owned and operated as a joint venture between the DBP Development Group (a subsidiary of the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG)) and TEC Pilbara (a subsidiary of TransAlta).

The Fortescue River Gas Pipeline is 207 km in length and has a diameter of 406 mm, and a capacity of 64 TJ/day. It connects the Dampier Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP) to TransAlta's power station situated at Fortescue Metals Group Limited's Solomon Hub iron ore operations. 

The Fortescue River Gas Pipeline is currently a non-scheme distribution system, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR.

The Fortescue River Gas Pipeline was completed in March 2015.
