WA: Beyondie Gas Pipeline

The Beyondie Gas Pipeline (BGP) is a transmission pipeline located approximately 160 km south-east of Newman within the Shires of Wiluna and Meekatharra, Western Australia. It is owned by Kalium Lakes Potash Pty Ltd and operated by APT Goldfields Pty Ltd. Kalium Lakes Potash Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kalium Lakes Ltd.

The BGP is 79.31 km in length and 100 mm in diameter, and has a capacity of 0.06 million cubic metres per day.

The BGP delivers natural gas and commences at the Goldfields Gas Pipeline from the Inlet Connection at the Metering Station near Kumarina Roadhouse. It runs in an easterly direction and ends at the Beyondie Sulphate of Potash Project’s Outlet Connection at the Delivery Station, which supplies gas to the Beyondie Power Station.

The BGP is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the National Gas Access (WA) Law and Part 23 of the National Gas Rules (WA) (NGR (WA)).

The WA Economic Regulation Authority granted Category 1, 2 and 3 exemptions under Part 23 of the NGR (WA) for the BGP that apply from 21 June 2023 to 30 June 2028.
