VIC: South Gippsland Pipeline

The South Gippsland Gas Pipeline System is a transmission pipeline operating across Victoria.

The South Gippsland Pipeline is owned and operated by Multinet Gas Networks, which is owned by DUET Group. The pipeline is 250km in length with a maximum allowable operating pressure of 10,000 kPa. 

Construction of the South Gippsland Gas Pipeline System began in 2007 and was completed in the same year. The pipeline supplies gas from the Bass Gas Plant, Lang Lang, and Victoria’s principal transmission system to towns in south-east Victoria, including Lang Lang, Korumburra, Leongatha, Wonthaggi, and Inverloch.

The South Gippsland Gas Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR.
