NSW: Camden Sales Gas Pipeline

NSW: Camden Sales Gas Pipeline

The Camden Sales Gas Pipeline is a transmission pipeline in south-west Sydney, NSW. The pipeline is owned and operated by AGL.

The Camden Sales Gas Pipeline is 120 km in length and has a capacity of 10 TJ/day. The pipeline has been used since 2001 to supply gas from the Rosalind Park Gas Plant into the natural gas network.

The Camden Sales Gas Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Part 10 of the National Gas Rules (NGR). It was previously subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under the former Part 23 of the NGR, which was replaced by Part 10.

On 30 November 2022, the AER granted a five year year Category 1 and Category 2 exemption under Part 23 of the NGR for the Camden Sales Gas Pipeline. Due to reforms to the NGR, the exemptions transitioned to a Category 1 exemption under Part 10 of the NGR.

AGL announced in February 2016 that it expected to cease production at its Camden Gas Project in 2023.
