The Yamarna Gas Pipeline is a transmission pipeline currently being constructed by the APA Group. The APA Group will own and operate the transmission pipeline and an associated gas-fired power station.
The pipeline is expected to be 198 km in length and have a capacity of 8 TJ/day once completed. Gas will be transported almost 1,500 km to the Gruyere mine site for the Gruyere Gold Project using four APA interconnected gas pipelines: the Goldfields Gas Pipeline, the Murrin Murrin Lateral, the Eastern Goldfields Pipeline and the Yamarna Gas Pipeline.
The Yamarna Gas Pipeline will be part of the Eastern Goldfields Pipeline System (EGPS), which includes the Eastern Goldfields Pipeline, Gwalia Lateral, Mt Morgans Lateral and Murrin Murrin Lateral.
The pipeline is expected to be commissioned in late 2018.
