The Telfer Gas Pipeline (also known as the Port Hedland to Telfer Pipeline) is a transmission pipeline in the eastern Pilbara region of Western Australia. The pipeline is owned by Energy Infrastructure Investments Gas Transmission Services WA (Operations) Pty Limited. The APA Group holds 19.9 per cent interest in Energy Infrastructure Investments, while Marubini holds 49.9 per cent interest and Osaka Gas holds 30.2 per cent interest. The APA Group operates the pipeline.
The Telfer Gas Pipeline is 443 km in length, and has a maximum diameter of 250 mm and a capacity of 29 TJ/day. The pipeline runs east from the Epic Energy Compound located at Boodarie to the Telfer Gold Mine approximately 485 km east-southeast of Port Hedland. It supplies gas for Newcrest’s Telfer Project, which includes the Telfer Gold Mine.
The Telfer Gas Pipeline is currently a non-scheme pipeline, and is subject to the access regime for non-scheme pipelines under Chapter 6A of the NGL and Part 23 of the NGR.
